Electronic Design Engineer

We are seeking both experienced and graduate electronics Design Engineers to join our busy design team in Eaglesham near Glasgow.

Working as a part of a multidisciplinary R&D team you will be responsible for the design and development of world class audio products.

You should have a passion for audio, a flair for innovative design, and the desire to push the boundaries of audio performance.

Ideally you will have a good working knowledge of some or all of the following:

  • Analog circuit design
  • Modern embedded processor system design
  • FPGA system design in VHDL
  • A-D and D-A conversion
  • DSP techniques and algorithms
  • Switched-mode power supply design
  • Design for EMC and safety compliance
  • PCB layout

You should have solid skills in:

  • Problem solving
  • Researching and applying new technologies
  • Cross-discipline teamwork
  • Written and verbal communication

Experience of the following tools would also be advantageous:

  • Altium Designer
  • Xilinx FPGA design tools
  • Matlab

Product Designer

We are looking for both graduate and more experienced candidates to join our Mechanical and Acoustic Team at Linn Products Ltd.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary R&D team designing and developing exciting new products. The candidate should not only be able to design the aesthetics of a product, but also engineer how it’s made and goes together.

You will also be responsible for ongoing technical support to production, service, and procurement teams. There is opportunity to increase responsibility by having sole ownership for a technology platform, delivering a series of products.

The successful candidate will have:-

  • A product, or mechanical design engineering degree, BEng 2:1 minimum.
  • Creative thinking skills to conceive innovative solutions.
  • Ability to sketch and present ideas.
  • Experience in 3D CAD to model concepts, and create detailed manufacturing drawings.
  • The ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels in the business.
  • An understanding of DFM & DFA- ‘Design For Manufacturing & Assembly’
  • Knowledge of relevant production processes and materials. This would include, for example; extrusion; injection moulding; CNC machining; sheet metalwork; die-casting; and finishing technologies.

Advantageous attributes:-

  • An enthusiasm for music.
  • Competent using SolidWorks.
  • Competent using Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator.
  • Experience in using workshop tools, and model making.
  • Experience in a product design environment for consumer goods.
  • Experience in FEA for thermal management and dynamic analysis.

Business Development Professional

Due to the continued success of the business we are now looking to hire an experienced Business Development Professional to develop our reseller network of independent specialist retailers within the UK and European territories. You will be an ambassador for Linn and our products. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful sales team of an established, forward-thinking company at the leading edge of design and manufacture of music systems.

The main purpose of the role is to grow sales via our network of independent specialist retailers, working closely with existing accounts to grow their sales.

Reporting directly to the Direct Market Sales Leader, you will work closely with the team to;

  • Create joint annual and quarterly business plans with existing independent retailers.
  • Develop strong relationships with all retailers, ensuring a good understanding of their business to further support Linn product sales.
  • Identify new potential resellers within the market place and assess their suitability to represent the Linn brand and their current operating model.
  • Support new retailers through the “onboarding process” to ensure that the right skills and experience exists in their Sales team.
  • Work as part of the wider UK and Global sales team.

The successful candidate will have;

  • Experience in B2B2C sales, working with a close network of independently owned resellers.
  • Experience in consultative, partnership-driven sales based on analysis and insight.
  • A collaborative approach to working with your external sales network.
  • Evidence of drive, ambition (for the success of the business) and enthusiasm/high energy.
  • Evidence of working and building up effective stakeholder relationships and possession of strong negotiation and selling skills.
